Sim'hat Torah

שמחת תורה

← Song Library

Sim'hat Torah closes the autumn festival season that begins with Sukkot. It celebrates completing the yearly cycle of Torah readings and beginning it again from Bereshit. Its high point is the hakafot: seven joyful processions with the Torah scrolls around the teba, each accompanied by its own piyutim and songs.
